ferred it last Sessions, or whether there be any of your House
Concerned in the Prosecution thereof, which if there be, De-
sire they may appear to Prosecute.

Mr John Brannock brings from the Lower House the fol-
lowing Message Viz.

By the Lower House of Assembly

Aprill the 28th 1718.
May it Please yor Excy & Honours
Mr Brannock as a Representative for Dorchester County
Exhibited the Petition last Sessions to this house, who has the
Petition Signed by the Proper Hands of the Persons Subscrib-
ing, and therefore waits on your Excy & Honours to make
good the Complaint.

Mr Tobias Pollard and Mr Peter Taylor bring from the
Lower house the Petition of John Brannock on behalf of
Thomas Brannock a minor seting forth that he is possessed of
a Tract of Land Cont. four hundred Acres lying in Dorchester
County, that his Father Edmd Brannock possd the sd Land
Peaceably Twenty Years, That John Long entered into the sd
Land by Force & Arms & fell Timber & other Trees, That the
sd John Brannock on behalf of the sd minor made Complaint
to the Justices of Dorchester County according to the Form
of the Statute, that the Jury thereon Impanelled found the sd
Long Guilty of Entring into the said Land and the Petr prayed
Restitution Accordingly, but the Justices Refused the same &
ordered the Petr to pay the Costs. Whereupon he Prays
Relief.
Which was Endorsed by the Lo Ho viz.

On reading the within Petition for that it seems the matters
Complained of are against some of the Justices of Dorchester
