250 Assembly Proceedings, April 26- June 3, 1715.

. any of which Cases appearing to the Provinciall Court the
said Attorney Genll shall not only Lose his ffees but pay the
secretaries ffees and what other Charges the party has been
att in defending the same to be Adjudged by the Provinciall
Court. And where as Sevll persons have been sued in his
Majtys name for a Certaine Sume without ever mentioning for
what the said bond was taken soe that the persons do not
know what Courses to take or who to Apply themselves to,

Be itt Enacted by the Authority afd by and with the Advice
and Consent afd that when any writt is Issued forth upon a
Navigation bond taken in his Majtys name itt shall be Endorsed
on the back side as follows for whome the person was bound
and in what year, If a Sher Bond att whose request and

prayer it was Sued or bond taken in any of his Majesties Offi-
ces in this province itt shall be Endorsed at whose request itt
was sued and for want of such Endorsement the writt shall
Abate and the party Grieved shall recover his Costs against
the Attorney that sued forth the said Writt.
And be itt Enacted by the Authority afd by and with the
Advice and Consent afd that whensoever the Grand jury in
their respective County Courts of this province shall make a
presentment of the breach of any the Laws of this province
save only the Act for speedy tryall of Criminalls and Ascer-
taining their punishment in the County Courts when prose-
cuted there if the party or parties presented Confess his or
their Crime and submitt to the Court then the Clerk of In-
dictments shall have one hundred pounds of Tobo for his ffee
and no more but if the Clerk of Indictments Draws a bill of
Indictment upon the said presentment and the party therein
presented Traverses such presentment or bill of Indictment
puts himself upon the Country for tryall thereof then the
Clerk of the Indictments shall have two hundred pounds of
Tobo for his ffee and no more.

And be itt ffurther Enacted by the Authority Advice and
Consent afd that from and after the end of this prsent sessions
of Assembly there shall be paid to any Attorney or other
person practicing the Law in any of the County Courts of
this province for bringing prosecuting or Defending any
Action of what nature or Quality soever to finall Judgmt
agreemt or other End thereof the sume of one hundred
pounds of Tobo Unless the principall Debt or Damage or
Ballance of any Debt and Damages sued for and recovered
doe Exceed the sume of two thousand pounds of Tobo or
Ten pounds Sterl that then the said Attorney shall have two
hundred pounds of Tobo and no more and to any Attorney
or other person practicing the Law in the provinciall Court
