Moved that the Vote relating to the Referrence of John
Clement's Petition until next Session may be reassumed,
And Resolved in the Affirmative and that Leave be given to
bring in a Bill this Session unless Mr William Taylard shall
to Morrow shew Cause to the contrary.
The House adjourned till to Morrow Morning Nine O'Clock

Wednesday 31" October 1711

The House met according to Adjournment Being called
over were present as Yesterday except Mr Vanderheyden who
is sick

The Gentl. appointed to agree with Mr Edwards to the
Quarter Part of the Lot No 37, Report That Mr Edwards
offered four Pounds for a ffee simple Mr Edwards appeared
in the House and agreed to pay four Pounds therefor and to
pay the Charge of the Act.
Resolved the Committee of Laws draw a Bill to confirm the
same to him.
Ordered Mr Cadwallader Edwards make good and sufficient
Window Shutters for all the Windows in the Stadt House
where wanting and lay his Accounts thereof before this House,
for which he shall be paid by the Public.
Bill relating to poor Debtors read with the Council's Indors-
ment debated and ordered to be indorsed.

31st October 1711

The House concur with the Honble Council's Opinion that
whatsoever has been done in Pursuance of the former Law
and until such Time as her Majesty's Dissassent thereto pub-
lished here was, and is well done and ought not to be disputed
in any Court of Judicature but considering the different Opin-
ion of the sundry think this Bill highly necessary and at the
Request of the Honble Council will not at present further
proceed therein but leave the Consideration thereof as the
Honble Council desire

Read. Put to the Question whether the Bill pass as amended
