October the 8th 1714
We have before the Receipt of your Message by Philemon
Lloyd Esq. given Orders for adjusting the publick Claims
with all convenient Speed and Resolved when that is done
that a Bill shall be then prepared for impowering some of your
Honble Board and some Members of this House to apportion
it, which we hope may be done by the Time mentioned in
your Message.

The following Message was ordered to be prepared and
entered as follows Viz.
By the House of Delegates
October the 8th 1714
Your Message about the prohibiting the Exportation of
Indian Corn this present Year being considered this House
acknowledges the same to be of great Importance and tending
in all likelihood to the Welfare of this Province of which your
Excy and Honours always shew your tender Regard We
humbly offer the prohibiting the Exportation from the tenth
Day of November till the tenth Day of March next by such
Means as to your Excy and Honours shall seem proper may
be of singular Advantage. At which Time your Excy may be
informed whether it may be necessary to continue the said
Prohibition.
