The following Message being read, was ordered to be
entered as follows. Viz.

By the House of Delegates
October the 8th 1714

May it please your Excy and Honrs
Your Message by the Honble Colo Saml Young and Colo
Thomas Addison of the 6th Instant with a Copy of the 22d
Article of her Majesty's Instructions to his Excy being read,
this House in Compliance therewith is resolved to view and
inspect into the Laws of this Province and to reenact and
amend such as shall on Consideration be found to want
Retrenchment or Supplemt and for the more speedy effecting
the same we pray your Excy and Honours will appoint some
Members of your Honble Board to confer with some Members
of this House to concert the manner and method for accom-
plishing the same.

The same is sent up by Colo Ward, Colo Mackall, Mr Tyler,
Mr Worthington, Mr Stoddart and Mr Robins.
They return and say they delivered their Message.
Mr Edward Boteler Clk of Calvert County Court having
produced the Record Book complained of to be embezzled
before this House and the same being examined; It is the
Opinion of this House that there is an Embezzlement made,
but the Relief of the Petitioner Roger Boyce is further to be
considered of next Sessions of Assembly.
Colo Richard Tilghman from the Honble Council enters
the House and delivers Mr Speaker the following Message
Viz.

By his Excy the Govr and Council
October the 8th 1714.
Gent.
It being offered to this Board that very indifferent Crops oi
Indian Corn have been made this psent year, his Excy desires
you will give your Advice whether it may not be fit to pro-
hibit the Exportation of Indian Grain for some months until
it may be the better judged whether the Province can subsist
themselves and spare any for Exportation.
