the real Debt sued for the Ballance recovered exceeds the
sum of ten Pounds Sterling or 2000lb of Tobacco the sum of
200lb of Tobacco. And that any Attorneys practising in the
said Courts that shall refuse to prosecute or defend the Cause of
any pson or psons making Application to any Attorney of the
said Courts (unless before retained) having the said Fee paid
or secured to be paid to him or that shall ask receive or demand
in any such Action by any Colour or Pretext whatsoever more
than the said Fee shall forfeit and pay the sum of five hundred
Pounds of Tobo one half thereof to our Sovereign Lady the
Queen for the support of the Government the other half to
him or them that will sue for the same to be recovered by
Action of Debt Bill Plaint or Information &ca And upon
Conviction thereof to be suspended his Practice in the said
Court for and during one whole year. We are further humbly
of Opinion that a Clause relating to the above Premises be
added to the Bill for reviving an Act for Officers Fees. Which
we humbly refer to your Honours Consideration
