delivered Mr Speaker the following Message from his Excel-
lency the Governor Viz.
Annapolis 25th June 1714
Mr Speaker,
I am extremely obliged with the ready Concurrence the
Gentlemen of the Assembly have shewed to her Majesty's
Permission of allowing me your free Gift of 3d p Hhd on all
Tobo exported. Your Pleasure of giving it me during the
Time of my Government cannot but be very grateful to me;
and I will endeavour on my part that you may never repent
so signal a Favour.

And also from the Council in Assembly the Bill for settling
a Revenue on her Majesty's present Governor with the fol-
lowing Endorsement Viz.
By the Council in Assembly
June 25th 1714
This Bill read in Council the first and second Time by
especial Order and will pass The Words Ready Money being
made Sterling Money for that no Advantage redounds to the
Freighters in this Province by the Master's Choice to pay the
Duty in Currency We being always charged Sterling by the
Merchants; nor is your Present now of equal Value with what
it was to Colo Seymore Coin not being then advanced

On reading of which Endorsmt It is ordered That the said
Bill be amended accordingly and lye for another Reading.
