that Summons issue to Philemon Hemsley and Mary his Wife
lately called Mary Contee in the said Deposition mentioned
requiring them that all Excuses set apart they be and appear
before this House on Thursday next in the Forenoon to
answer the Charge imposed against her the said Mary in the
said Representation and Deposition.
Resolved That the Petition of Benjamin Woodward and
Mary his Wife about a Tract of Land called Sectar lying in
Dorchester County be referred to the Considern of this House
to be had thereon on Tuesday Morning next; at which Time
all Parties concerned are to attend.
The Committee of Laws made the following Report Viz.

By the Committee of Laws
June 24th 1714

Upon enquiring into the expiring Temporary Laws of this
Province according to the Directions of the House we humbly
refer these following to your Consideration with the several
Times of their Continuances noted Viz.
An Act reviving and continuing an Act of Assembly of this
Province Entituled an Act for the Ordering and regulating of
the Militia of this Province for the better Security and Defence
thereof and for supplying some Defects therein. To continue
to the End of the first Session after the Arrival of a Capt.
Genl.

An Act reviving an Act entituled an Act for Limitation of
Officers Fees. To continue until the End of the first Session
of Assembly or to the End of 6 Months which shall first
happen after the Arrival of the next Capt. Genl or Governor
&ca

An Act for relieving the Inhabitants of this Province from
some Aggrievances in the Prosecution of Suits at Law. To
endure to the End of the first Session of Assembly that shall
first happen after the Arrival of a Capt. Genl or Governor &ta
Signed p Order Tho Bordley Cl. Com.

Thereupon it is Ordered That the Com. of Laws revise the
Act entituled an Act for Limitation of Officers Fees and pre-
pare and bring in a Bill. And it is further Ordered That the
said Committee regulate the Fees as they see reasonable and
so fill up the Bill accordingly.
The Honble Colo Wm Holland, Colo Coursey, Colo Ennalls
Colo Thomas Addison, John Dorsey Esq. and Colo Saml Young
from her Majesty's Honble Council entered the House and
