29th And we further do direct and require that this Declara-
tion of our Royal Will and Pleasure be communicated to the
Assembly at their first Meeting after your Arrival and entered
in the Registers of our Council and Assembly that all Persons
whom it may concern may govern themselves accordingly.

Upon reading Richard Acton's Petition about the Damage
done his Land without the Gate of Annapolis and fully debat-
ing the same it is resolved and accordingly Ordered that the
Petitioner be allowed out of the public Stock the Sum of
twenty Pounds in full of all his Claim on Account of the
Damage done his said Land; Ten Pounds thereof to be

allowed him this present year and the other ten Pounds to be
allowed him in the Year one thousand seven hundred and
fifteen.

A Motion being made and the Question put whether a Duty
of 3d p Hhd on all Tobacco exported by Land or Water out
of this Province shall be allowed his Excy the Governor during
his Administration here for his better Support It is Resolved
in the Affirmative nemine contradicente

Ordered That a Bill be brought in for granting to his
Excellency John Hart Esq 3d p Hhd during his Administra-
tion in this Province on all Tobacco to be hence exported by
Land or by Water and that the Committee of Laws prepare
and bring in the same

The House adjourns till Eight O'Clock to Morrow Morning

Friday Morning 25th June 1714

The House met again according to Adjournmt present as
Yesterday

Then also appeared Mr William Whittington Junr
Then was read what was done yesterday.

A Bill for settling a Revenue on her Majesty's present
Governor being brought in by the Commitee of Laws was
read the first and secoud Time by especial Order and ordered
to be indorsed Viz.

By the House of Delegates
Friday 25th June 1714.

Read the first and second Time by especial Order and will
pass.
