378 Assembly Proceedings, June 2- July 3, 1714.

By his Excellency the Governor & Council in Assembly
July the 2d 1714

Your message this Afternoon by Mr James Lloyd and five
others of your members has been read and Considered at this
Board and your request therein is thought very reasonable

Wherefore his Excellency has been pleased to give orders
to her Majesty's Receivers to lay the whole Accounts of the
3d p hhd appropriated for the purchasing Arms & Ammunition

p. 931

for the Defence of this Province before your House at the
next Session

p. 932

And further his Excellcy & this Board do resolve & are
inclinable some part of the sd Revenue of 3d p hhd appro-
priated as afd may be applyed towards the Building publick
Storehouses for preserving the Arms and Ammunition in the
Several Countys where necessary

But as to the Store House agreed to be built in this City
his Excellcy desires It should not be further proceeded on till
the next Session of Assembly when some further Proposals
will be made relating thereto

Sent by Col Whittington & Lt Col Tilghman

Lt Col Ward and nine more brought from the House a Bill
for reviving the Act for Limitation of Officers Fees and the
following Message Viz.

By the House of Delegates
July the 2d 1714

We are much concerned that your Honours do insist so
much for inserting a Clause relating to the Attornys' ffees in
the Bill for relieving the Inhabitants of this province from
some Aggrievances in prosecution of Suits at Law Since It
passed your Board with some Amendments as your Honours
may see by your Journal of the 30th of June wherein you
never mentioned the said Clause

This House is desirous to avoid Multiplicity of Messages
as tending very much to the Delay of Business and therefore
desire your Honours to assent to the sd Bill being now before
your Board
