part of an Imposition of twelve pence p hhd paid and Settled
by Act of Assembly on Tobo to be exported out of this prov-
ince on her Majesty for support of Government should be

employed for purchasing Arms and Ammunition for the
Defence of this Province, And having also out of her princely
favour given us leave to require the Accompts of the same
and all other Supplys to be granted to be laid before us,
We humbly pray your Excellency to order the Several Offi-
cers concerned in the receipt and Application of the sd 3d p
Hhd to lay their Accompts of the same before this House next
Session of Assembly. We believe that upon that Account a
considerable sum will be found due to the Publick. And pray
your Excellency will agree to apply part thereof for building
such publick Store Houses throughout the Province as shall
be thought necessary for the more safe keeping the publick
Arms & Ammunition of the same, Which we are humbly of
Opinion is agreeable to her Majesty's Directions & gracious
permission for Application of the same.
We have already Ordered a Store House to be built in the
City of Annapolis which is to be finished by the first day of
October next for the publick Arms and Ammunition of this
Province not distributed among the several Countys of the
same

Which being read & considered by this Board the Request
of the House of Delegates is thought very reasonable And
therefore Resolved & Ordered that her Majesty's Receivers
of the District of Patuxent and Potowmack lay the whole
Accounts of the 3d p hhd appropriated by her Majesty for
purchasing Arms and Ammunition for the defence of this
Province before the next Session of Assembly
Further Resolved that his Excellency and the Board are
inclinable that some part of the Revenue afd of 3d p hhd appro-
priated for purchasing Arms & Ammunition may be applyed
towards the Building publick Store Houses in the several
Countys where necessary
As to the publick Store House for Arms &c. agreed to be
built of Wood in this City His Excellency is desirous It should
not be further proceeded on till some proposals are made to
the next Session of Assembly relating thereto.
His Excellency is pleased with the Advice of this Board to
order & direct that all the publick Arms in the Several Countys
be got together & hung up in the respective County Court
Houses and thereupon the following Message was sent to the
House of Delegates Viz.
