376 Assembly Proceedings, June 2- July 3, 1714.

And It being observed that the Delegates had not taken
any notice of the Recommendation from this Board on Mr
Thos Macnemara's Petition on behalf of himself and other
Gentlemen practising the Law in this province by inserting
the Clause relating to the Attorny's Fees in the County Court
in any Action above ten pounds Sterl,
Resolved the following Message be sent to the House. Viz.

By the Council in Assembly
July the 2d 1714

This Board did yesterday upon the Petition of Mr Thos
Macnemara on behalf of himself & the other Gentlemen
practising the Law in this province recommend to your House
in favour of the Petitioner and the other Gentlemen of that
Profession that a former Clause in the Act for relieving the
Inhabit" of this province from some Aggrievances in the
prosecution of Suits at Law relating to Attornys fees in the
County Courts should be again inserted in the present Bill

proposed, And are concerned to find your House have not
taken any Notice of that Recommendation which we think
proper to be inserted

The Council adjourned till three of the Clock in the After-
noon

The Council Sate Present as in the morning

Mr St Leger Codd & Mr James Macall bring up a Bill for
reinvesting Mary & Ann Seward Daughters & Coheiresses
of Wm Seward late of Dorchester County decd Son and Heir
of George Seward formerly of the sd County in a certain
Tract of Land in Dorchester County called Secter
Endorsed Read in their House the first and Second Times
& will pass

The said Bill being read at the Board, The petition of Major
Thomas Hicks was also read praying to be heard by his Coun-
cil thereto which was granted
Mr James Lloyd and five more bring up the following
Message
By the House of Delegates
July the 2d 1714

May It please your Excellency
As her sacred Majesty out of her great Grace and princely
Regard of us has been pleased to order that the Sum of 3d
