decently to Support as well Judicial as ministerial Officers,
therefore pray the Bill may pass
Signed p order Tho' Macnemara Cl Lo Ho.

Which Bill with the Endorsment thereon being read and
Considered and the Several Fees Examined This Board can-
not think they are any ways Exorbitant considering the little
Advantage the several Officers for many years have, and are
still like to make of their Tobaccos.
Wherefore It was put to the Question whither this Board
will recede from their former opinion on this Bill communi-
cated to the Delegates or not
And Resolved that this Board do not think fit to recede
therefrom, But recommend that the former Law for limitation
of Officers' Fees with the explanatory Act thereto be revived
The said Bill being so Endorsed was sent to the Delegates
by Col Coursey Col Young & Capt Dorsey

On Consideration of Peter Sewell of Calvert County's
Petition Mr Charles Carrol being called before the Board to
know if he had any thing to offer why the Petitioner having
lain three years in the County Coale should not be relieved
by this Assembly

The sd Mr Carrol acquaints the Board that he is Attorny in
fact for Capt John Hyde of London Merchant and for the
Assigns of the Commission of Bankrupt against Wm Lone of
London Mercht to whom the Petitioner owes about forty pounds
as likewise the like sum of forty pounds to the said Capt Hyde
Resolved nemine Contradicente & ordered that It be a
Standing Rule at this Board that when any Person is called
before his Excellency & this Board to give them Satisfaction
to any Questions proposed to them, Such Persons shall only
answer directly to the Questions proposed without offering
any thing further
The Board adjourned till to morrow morning at Eight of
the Clock.
