Bill which may have relation to the improving the Tobaccos
of this Province & preventing the Frauds of designing men
who have not the General Good of this Province at Heart, It
is thought fitt by the Governt & Council to recommend it to
your Perusal

The Board adjourned till Monday Morning half an hour
after nine of the Clock.

His Excell John Hart Esqr Governour in Chief
Col Edward Lloyd Col Addison
Col Wm Coursey Philemon Lloyd Esqr
The Honble Col Ennalls John Dorsey Esqr
Col Thos Greenfield and
Col Whittington Lt Col Richd Tilghman

His Excellency acquaints the Board he has it in Command
from her Majesty to enquire whither the 3d p Hhd appropriated
for purchasing Arms for the Defence of this her Province has
been expended therefore, What Arms and Ammunition are
now in the Province & how they have been disposed of
His Excellency is informed by the Board that her Majesty's
Receivers of Patuxent & Potowmack Districts are the proper
officers who receive that Duty & will when he commands
them lay the Account before his Excellency

Ordered that John Rousby and John Dansey Esqrs her
Majesty's said Receivers lay before his Excellency the Gov-
ernour in Council the Account of the 3d p Hhd for Arms by
them received since the Death of Governour Seymour
Further his Excell is pleased to enquire what monys have
since the Death of his late Excell Governr Seymour been
raised for defraying the publick Charges of the Province &
how the same has been disposed of
The Council acquaint his Excellency that all the mony raised
therefore is accounted for to the General Assembly and by
them allowed for defraying the publick Charge as by the
Accounts thereof in the Secretarys Office may appear
His Excellency enquires what Sallarys are allowed to her
Majesty's Council, The Justices of the Provincial Court, the
Delegates & Burghesses of Assembly & the Justices of the
County Courts
