Mr Richard Jones, Mr Daniel Mariartee, and Mr Robert
Ungle are appointed a Committee for Election and Privileges
Mr Henry Ward a Member returned for Cecil County
attended the House, And Ordered That Mr Matthias Vander-
heyden and Mr John West, attend him to the Council to see
him sworn &ta
They return and say they saw him qualified and thereupon
the said Mr Ward took his Place in the House.
Ordered That the Indentures for his Election be sent to the
Committee of Election & Privileges And upon their Inspec-
tion they report as followeth Viz. Indorsed on the Indenture

By the Committee of Election and Privileges
October 24th 1711.

We of the Committee do find the within named Mr Henry
Ward to be duly elected according to Law.

Colo William Coursey, and Colo Charles Greenberry and
Colo Addison from the Honble Council enter the House and
delivered Mr Speaker the following Message with other Papers
relating thereto Viz.

By the Honble President and Council in Assembly
8ber 4th 1711

Gentl. Herewith is sent you the Right Honble the Lords
of Trade and Plantations Letter of the Eighth of Nov. 1710
with their Representation and her Majesty's Orders for disal-
lowing the several Acts of the Assembly made Nov. 1709 for
the Reasons in the said Representation Set forth. Upon
Receipt whereof we need not now to tell you that Proclama-
tions have issued for repealing the aforesaid Acts; but must
observe to you their Lordships' kind Intimation that if any of
the said Laws do seem of absolute Necessity for the good
Government and Welfare of the Province they may be reen-
acted as in their Ldps Lres pursuant to her Majesty's late
Instruction transmitted us is prescribed; and forasmuch as we
are thoroughly sensible several of these are absolutely
necessary for the good Government and Welfare of the Prov-
ince and especially those for regulating the Militia and
limiting Officers Fees we must recommend them to your Con-
sideration to be reenacted not doubting but the Advantages
thereby, as well as the Dangers and Inconveniencies for want
thereof are obvious to us all.
