and retired to their House Mr Speaker having taken the
Chair; It is Resolved That Warrants be directed to Mr Secre-
tary to issue forth Writs for electing new Members to serve
in this present Assembly in the Room of the following Persons
Viz. To Kent County for Election of two Members to serve
in the Room of Mr James Harris Sheriff, and Mr James Ring-
gold deceased. And Calvert County to serve instead of Colo
Walter Smith deceased. A Writ to Dorchester County for
Election of a Member to serve instead of Mr Hugh Eccleston
deceased. A Writ to Cecil County for Election of a Member
to serve in the Room of Mr Edwd Laremore deceased. And
another Writ to the Sheriff of Queen Ann's County for Elec-
tion of a Member to serve in the Room of Mr Philemon
Hemsley Sheriff of the same County
Mr Robert Skinner Member for Calvert County, Mr Frank-
lin for Somerset County, Mr Thomas Frisby for Cecil County
and Mr Philip Lee for Prince George's County; Their Non-
Attendance dispensed with by the House upon their Excuse.

Resolved That the House meet at Nine O'Clock in the
Morning and sit till four in the Afternoon.
Upon reading the President's Speech it's Resolved it be
considered of to Morrow Morning
The House adjourned till to Morrow Morning Nine O'Clock.

Wednesday 24th October Anno Dni. 1711.

The House met again according to Adjournment. Being
called over were all present as Yesterday. And Mr Thomas
Trueman Greenfield, Mr Henry Peregrine Jowles, Colo Small-
wood, Capt. Crabb, Mr Storey Mr Vanderheyden, Colo Low,
Mr Robins Capt. Colegate and Colo Maxwell
The President's Speech again read. It is Resolved Mr
Wornell Hunt, and Mr George Gale be a Committee to con-
sider thereof and prepare an Address in Answer thereto and
lay the same before the House to Morrow Morning
The House proceed to settle the following Committees Viz.

Lib. 41

Captain James Phillips, Mr Joseph Hill, Mr John Bradford,
and Mr Thomas Bordley be and are appointed a Committee
for stating the publick Accounts
Mr Robert Tyler, Mr John Whittington, and Mr John Mack-
all are appointed a Committee to hear the Aggrievances of
the Province.
Mr Thomas Smithson, Mr George Gale, Mr John West, Colo
Lowe and Mr Whittington be and are appointed a Commit-
tee of Laws
