The Council State Present as in the morning with the
Addition of Col Ennalls

Mr Robert Bradleys Request being again taken into Con-
sideration the same is thought a Sufficient reason to grant he
may be dismissed from being a Justice of the Provincial Court
Especially upon his Petition exhibited to his Excellency
therefore.
The Petition of Mr Philip Lee Mercht being read as follows

Prince George's County June the 27th 1714

To his Excellency John Hart Esqr her Majesty's Capt
General & Governeur in chief And to the Honble her Majesty's
Council of Maryland

The Petition of Philip Lee of Prince George's County
Merchant
humbly setteth forth —

U. H. J.

That Whereas the said Philip Lee by one Obligation bearing
Date the first day of July Anno 1713 did become bound unto
our Sovereign Lady the Queen in the full sum of five hundred
pounds Lawful mony of England for the faithful discharge of
all the just dues that did arise on Account of Sundry Tobaccos
of the Growth of this Province exported in the Ship Mary
Thos Richardson Commander which dues afd your Petitioner
was then ready (as He hath been ever since) to render to the
Officers of her Majesty's Customs here who have refused to
demand or receive the same by which means your Suppli-
cants Bond is still lodged in the Naval Office of Patuxent in
full force against your Petitioner and his Heirs which may
redound to the prejudice of him and therefore your Petitioner
in most dutiful Manner requesteth your Excellency and her
Majesty's honble Council Seriously to reflect and consider this
Affair and give such favourable directions to her Majestys
Officers as may discharge your Petitioner (he paying lawful
Dues) from his said Bond, & he will ever pray
