the better Admri of Justice in Probat of Wills &ta

Which being read and debated, Resolved the Amendments
proposed by the Council be agreed to. The Bill with the
Amendments again read in the House and will pass as
amended.

Sent up to the Honble Council for their Concurrence by
Colo Blay, Colo Smallwood, Mr Ennalls, Mr Watts, Mr John
Whittington, and Colo Thomas Hammond.

They return and say they delivered the Bill

Bill ascertaining what shall be allowed to Grand and Petit
Jurors & Evidences &ta Read the first and second Times by
special Order and will pass

Sent up to the Council by Mr James Lloyd & Major Sprigg.
They return & say they delivered the same.

Captain Jones from the Rector, Governor and Visitors of
the ffree- School enters the House and delivers Mr Speaker
their Answer to the Proposals from this House Viz.

i As to the first Proposal the Number of the Governor and
Visitors is already compleat and those out of all the Counties
but Cecil Charles and Somerset

2 As to the second Proposal about letting the Money out
at Interest we don't believe any substantial Person capable of
answering the Money when called upon will be willing to
accept it at Interest; wherefore we believe the public Treas-
urers provided they give good Security therefor the properest
Persons in whose Hands to lodge the same

3 As to the third Proposal of the Treasurers paying the
Money by them received in the Specie they took it the Duty
being generally paid in ready Money we cannot expect them
to be paid by the Treasurers otherwise than in Currency

4 To the fourth Proposal of the Treasurers giving Security
for the Revenues of the ffree-School we think it highly reas-
onable

5 As to the fifth Proposal of laying the Accounts of the
ffree-School Yearly before the House of Delegates the Rector
Governor and Visitors of the ffree School will always be ready
to shew the General Assembly the Accounts of their Pro-
ceedings
