Colo Smithson having signified that he is very aged and
crazy has often requested that the Money in his Hands due to
the ffree Schools might be removed we desire your Advice
whether it may not be proper to lodge it in the Treasurer of
the Western Shore on his giving Security to answer the same
or if you can advise us of any other proper Person to whose
Care it may be committed on the Eastern Shore in Case Colo
Smithson should refuse to give Security for that Money

This House conceive it necessary to call the Money due to
the ffree School out of Colo Smithson's Hands, unless he will
give good Security for the same and recommend it to the
Rector Governor & Visitors of the ffree School to lodge the
same in such Persons Hands as they think proper either on
the Eastern or Western Shore taking good Security to answer
it but know not what Person to advise them to

The House met again according to Adjournment Being
called over were present as Yesterday except Mr Trippe who
is sick.
Read what was done Yesterday.
Bill against false packing Tobacco read the first Time and
ordered a second Reading. Read again the second Time by
special Order and ordered a third Reading. Read again the
third Time by special Order. Put to the Question what the
Fine shall be? Carried by Majority of Votes 500 lb Tobo and
Resolved the Bill pass
