relating to fines on Ordinary Licences you were pleased yes-
terday to favour us with altho It was perpetual yet we find
that Law and all Other Laws relating to Ordinarys were
repealed in Anno 1698 and if that Law had been lodged in
the proper office where It ought to have been We should
have taken Notice of it before But both the Records of Assem-
bly & other Records are now so squandered about in Holes
& other by places that It is almost impossible to find those
we want
We shall take great Care not to Offer any thing to her
sacred Majesty but what we can aver to be true not doubting
but out of her usual Clemency & Goodness she will when our
Address is laid before her do us all the Justice we do Expect
or can reasonably desire

following Answer to Mr Chars Carrol & Mr Wm Bladen's
petition

This House have maturely considered the petition of Mr
Charles Carrol & Mr Wm Bladen & resolve nemine Contra-
dicente no further Allowance be made to them on Account of
Rent (heretofore accruing) for the Houses where the publick
Arms and Ammunition are at present Lodged

The following message was resolved upon drawn up & sent
to the House of Delegates by Col Holland & Col Greenfield
Mr Hall Col Addison & Col Tilghman Viz.

By the Honble President & Council in Assembly
November the 12th 1713
Gentlemen
We have received your Message of this day by Col Hoskins
and three others & cannot but once more express our Senti-
ments to you that since you have denyed us the Conference
proposed in order to enforce her Majesty's royal Commands
to this Province laid before you at the Beginning of this Ses-
sion we must conclude that some of your House are possessed
with a mistaken Zeal of the Interest of your Country which
seems to have a great Influence on & mislead Others. Where-
