Board And assure your Honours we never had the least
Thoughts of reflecting on your Honble Board neither have
We reason to doubt of the due regard you have for the In-
terest of this Province. This House have with great Care &
diligence Searched all the Records in the Secretarys Office or
other Offices here they could find And unconscious of any
Untruths we have Averred in the Address sent to your Honours
for perusal, therefore desire you will not any more press us
on this Subject

Which being Read & Considered Resolved the following
Message be sent to the Delegates Viz.

By the honble President & Council
November the 11th 1713

We have received your Message by Major Sprigg and five
others And tho we cannot but think it very Strange you
should refuse the Conference desired by this Board for want
whereof We find you persist in the mistake Asserted in your
Address to her Majesty relating to the fines on Ordinary
Licences yet we cannot believe We ought notwithstanding

your Desire press you no further neglect giving you to under-
stand that altho you have averred that the same fines on
ordinary Licences were always temporary & reserved in the
power of the Country to dispose — the Law therefore never
having been perpetual We find there was a perpetual Law
made in May Anno 1695 appropriating the said fines to the
Secretary of this her Majesty's Province for the Time being
& send you the said Law for your Perusal, Wherefore we
desire you to consider whether such an Address will become
the reputation of your House for which you may perceive
We have ho Small Regard

The Petition of Mrs Mary Hindman Relict & Execr of Mr
James Hindman late Rector of St Pauls parish in Queen Ann's
County Read praying that the Directions of this Board that
the Vestry may make her reasonable Allowance for the year
her decd Husband officiated in that Parish being read ordered
that the said Vestry see her paid the proportionable part of
the 40 lb tobo p pole from the laying the last years Levy to the
time of her Husband's Death
