240 Assembly Proceedings, Oct. 27-Nov. 14, 1713.

down to the Water and then running up that Street to the
main road leading to the Beaver Dams & from thence to Wye
Mill and so down that Branch to Wye River and with the said
River Eastern Bay and Chester River to the beginning or End
of the high Street afd Sent to the House by Mr Hall
The Board adjourned till Eight of the Clock to morrow

Wednesday November the 11th 1713.
The Council Sate Present as yesterday
Upon the Remonstrance of John Danzey Esqr her Majesty's
Receiver of the District of Potowmack Ordered that the

Sherriff of Charles County account with him for & pay unto

the sd Receiver all her Majesty's Fines and Forfeitures in the
sd County by him collected or to be collected
Mr Tyler & Mr Mariartee came & acquainted the Honble
President & Council that their Clerk Mr Richard Dallam was
gone home very much indisposed in his Health so that they
were at a great Loss but desired that Mr Evan Jones might
be sworn Clerk Assistant to the hbl house of Delegates which
was accordingly done in their presence the said Mr Jones
taking the Oaths of Abjuration Allegiance & Abhorrence and
Oath of Clerk Assistant to the said Delegates & Subscribing
the Oath of Abjuration & Test
The Address proposed to her Majesty on the happy peace
being read at this Board was approved of
The Petition of Charles Carrol & Wm Bladen recommended
to the House's mature Consideration & Sent to the House by
Col Tilghman
Major Sprigg and five more brought up from their House
the Engrossed Bill impowering the Justices of the Several
Counties to regulate the disputable Bounds of Parishes in
their respective Countys and for ascertaining the time &
manner when & how the forty pounds of Tobo p poll shall

become due & be paid

Assented to by the Delegates which being read was assented
to by her Majesty's honble Council & Sent to the House by
Col Tilghman.
The said Delegates also brought up the following Message
Viz
By the House of Delegates
November the 11th 1713

We have considered maturely of yesterday's message by
the honble Col Holland & three others of your Honourable
