us this Session We find you have mentioned the Person so
imployed on the Journal of the Committee of Accompts and
wonder you should refuse to make him suitable Allowance for
his Service being what was never before refused by any
Session of Assembly

Col Ward and thirteen more brought up from their House
the following Message, & an Address to her Majesty Viz

By the House of Delegates
November the 7th 1713

May it please your Honours
We have with great difficulty and Trouble at last completed
an Address which we design to lay before her Majesty relating
to Sr Thos Lawrence and beg your Honours to peruse the
Same which we hope will give you full Satisfaction of the
unjust & unreasonable Complaint of Sr Thos Lawrence against
us. And that it is not out of any disrespect to her Majesty's
royal Commands that we do not by an Act of Assembly settle

the fines of Ordinary Keepers Licences on Sr Thomas Law-
rence but purely to assert our own Right in disposal of such
fines or taxes as we shall think fitt from time to time to raise
or impose upon the Inhabitts of this Province and desire your
Honours will not further press us in this matter but believe
that we are in all sincerity her Majesty's most dutiful & Loyal
Subjects

Col Ward & Col Mackall brought up the Bill against false
packing Tobacco with the Amendments proposed by this
Board agreed to by the Delegates which being read again at
the Board was passed and sent to the Delegates by Col
Tilghman
