November the 7^th 1713

May it please your Honours
We have with great difficulty and Trouble at last completed
an Address which we design to lay before her Majesty relating
to S^r Tho^s Lawrence and beg your Honours to peruse the
Same which we hope will give you full Satisfaction of the
unjust & unreasonable Complaint of S^r Tho^s Lawrence against
us. And that it is not out of any disrespect to her Majesty's
royal Commands that we do not by an Act of Assembly settle

the fines of Ordinary Keepers Licences on S^r Thomas Law-
rence but purely to assert our own Right in disposal of such
fines or taxes as we shall think fitt from time to time to raise
or impose upon the Inhabit^ts of this Province and desire your
Honours will not further press us in this matter but believe
that we are in all sincerity her Majesty's most dutiful & Loyal
