former Assemblys and as oft denyed any Allowance) That
Constitution being made without the Consent of this House
who always saw the ill Convenience thereof and though you
are pleased to say the Charge of the Provincial Court was
considerably lessened thereby yet we are certain the Charges
brought in & demanded from the publick were augmented,
What Trouble and Expences those Gentlemen were at on
occasion of riding the Circuits or what Damages they may
suffer in their Estates thereby This House were never the
occasion of And as they never on behalf of the publick re-
quested or acquiesced in any thing relating to those Commis-
sions for the Assizes but always shewed their aversion thereto,
so they think it very unreasonable the Country should be
burthened with the Charge but that those that set them to work
ought to pay them for their Charges Trouble & Expences

Col Smallwood and three more brought up four Engrossed
Bills Viz.

A Bill for relief of Henry Acton of Prince Georges County
in making Valid & Effectual a certain Deed of Bargain and
Sale from Gilbert Clark to John Bayn

A Bill for killing Wolves Crows & Squirrels

A Bill for the relief of Josiah Crouch of Kent County in
confirming a certain Sale of Lands from Wm Crouch to him
& his Heirs and

A Bill for the Relief of John Coal of Charles County
Carpenter. Which said four Bills being assented to by the
House of Delegates were likewise assented to by her Majesty's
honourable Council and Sent to the House by Col Ennalls

Capt Frisby & Mr Brooke brought up a Bill for Supplying
a Defect in Jerm Sullivans Will

And A Bill for relief of John Smith of Cecil County

John Dansey Esqr her Majesty's Collector of Patuxent
District made Oath to his Quarterly Lists of Shipping ending
at midsummer & Michaelmas last.

Also to two quarterly Lists of the one penny p pound ending
at midsummer & Michaelmas afd

Mr Daniel Sherwood Deputy Collector in the Port of Wm
Stadt made oath to two Quarterly Lists of Shipping Ending
at Midsummer & Michaelmas last

Also Mr Evan Jones Deputy Collector of the port of Annap-
olis made Oath to four Lists of Shipping Entring & Clearing
