By the Council in Assembly
Nov. 5th 1712

This Board having considered the Report from the Con-
ferrence concerning Appeals and Writs of Error they do agree
to the first Part thereof relating to the Courts of Common
Law but desire that Part relating to Appeals from the Courts
of Chancery may be omitted no Appeals lying from the Court
of Chancery here to the Court of Chancery in Great Britain
nor any Appeals to her Majesty in Council but where the
Thing in Controversy exceeds three hundred Pounds Sterl.
Wherefore such Clause will not only be needless but of different
Nature to the Title of the Law proposed

Upon reading the aforegoing Message from the Honble
Council the House concur with the Honble Council's Desire
therein and Resolved the Committee of Laws prepare & bring
in a Bill accordingly
John Roger's Petition referred from last Session again read.
John Courts the Heir at Law to Colo Courts in the Petition
named appearing at the Bar made no Objections but prayed
also that a Bill might be brought in to confirm Colo Courts his
Will Debated & Resolved Nemine contradicente That a Bill
be brought in as prayed. Which Bill being ready the Petrs
delivered the same to Mr Speaker.
Bill confirming Colo Courts his Will by especial Order read
the first and second Times and will pass. Sent up to the
Honble Council by Mr Hoskins, Mr Story, Mr ffendall & Mr
Sprigg. They return & say they delivered the Bill

The Honble Colo Greenberry enters the House and delivers
Mr Speaker the following Message

By the Council in Assembly
Nov. 6th 1712

This Board have appointed the Honble Colo Charles Green-
berry, John Hall Esqr Colo Thomas Addison and Colo Richard
Tilghman to confer with the Conferrees from your House,
concerning the Law relieving the Inhabitants of this Province
from some Aggrievances they lye under, and the said Gentle-
men are ready to join with yours at the Time & place desired.

Upon reading the above Message ordered the Gentlemen
appointed Conferrees go out thereon.
