The Honble Colo Whittington from the Council enters the
House and delivers Mr Speaker the following Message and
sundry Accounts thereto relating

Novr 4th 1712.
Whereas the Sea board Side of Somerset County hath lately
been often alarmed by Privateers and some having attempted
to land there to the great Terror of the Inhabitants, the Hon-
ble Colo Whittington the Commander in Chief of that County
was requested by this Board to procure a great Gun to make
an Alarm and to employ Persons to look out on the Sea board
Side Wherefore that Service and the Charge thereof is
recommended to your Consideration that such reasonable
Satisfaction as you shall see fit on View of the Accounts here-
with sent you may be made the respective Persons employed
thereabout

Upon reading the beforegoing Message and examining the
Accounts Resolved they be referred to the Committee of
Accounts for Allowance
Mr Bladen and Mr Carroll's Remonstrance again read with
the Report of the Committee thereon. Debated, and Re-
solved the Committee of Accounts allow fifteen Pounds in
full till this Time
Mr Young, the Treasurer's Memorial Read praying a fur-
ther Allowance for Paper and Parchment. Debated and Re-
solved no further Allowance be made.
The House adjourned till to Morrow Morning Eleven
