This House desire the Honble President and Council to
communicate to them the Reasons laid before her Majesty for
her Disallowance of the Act relating to Appeals and Writs
of Error

Sent up to the Honble Council by Mr Charles Hammond,
Mr James ffrisby, Mr John Broome and Mr Roger Woolford
and ordered they present Mr Thomas Brooke to the Honble
Council and see him qualified.
They return and say they delivered their Message and saw
Mr Brooke qualified. And Mr Brooke took his Place in the
House.
Roger Boyce's Petition Read praying Leave to bring in a
Bill to supply the Defect of a Record imbezzled in Calvert
County Court Records purporting the Sale of Land from
Chapline to Norton and Leave given to bring in a Bill to con-
firm the Sale from Chapline to Norton the next Session of
Assembly unless William Chapline the Heir at Law having
due Notice shall then appear and shew Cause to the contrary.
Mr John Mackall from the Committee of Elections and
Privileges enters the House and report as follows Viz.

Oct. 31st 1712.
Upon reading the Petition and as well hearing the Petitioners
Council thereto against the Election of the Members returned
to serve in this present General Assembly for Baltimore
County as the Council for the said Members we do find the
said Members (to wit) Mr Richard Colegate, Mr Thomas Ham-
mond, Mr William Talbot and Mr Edward Stevenson to be
unduly elected for the said County the Sheriff of the said
County having not proceeded according to Law in Relation to
the said Election but the Petition aforementioned being direc-
ted to the House we submit to the House's Judgment thereon

Upon reading the aforegoing Report, Petition and Depo-
sitions relating thereto,
Resolved Nemine contradicente That the House concur with
the Report of the Committee that the Members returned for
Baltimore County are unduly elected.
