sary for the Welfare, Peace and Tranquility of the Province
so we cannot harbour the least Thought of your Honours not
concurring with us therein assuring your Honour that our
Design or Intention is not to propose or expect your Honour
to assent to any Thing which we conceive will be contrary to
the Instructions given you by her Majesty to whose most
Princely Care and tenderly Affection, we entirely recommend
the Lives and ffortunes of ourselves and those we represent

Sent up to the Honble President by Colo Hoskins, Mr
Lloyd, Mr ffrisby, Mr Sprigg, Mr William Whittington, Mr
James Mackall, Mr Trippe and Mr Chesseldyne
They return and say they delivered the same
The Petition of the Inhabitants of Dorchester County for
altering their Parishes, Read and by the House rejected
Mr Jowles and Mr Greenfield report that in Obedience to
the Order of the House they had received from the Treasurer
the ten Pounds allowed to the Chaptico Indians and paid the
same to the King of those People
Mr John Mackall from the Committee of Privileges and
Elections enters the House and reports that the several Mem-
bers returned to serve in this present General Assembly for
the Counties of Calvert, Queen Ann's, Dorchester, Saint
Marys, Cecil, Talbot, Charles, Prince George's, Somerset and
Kent and for the City of Annapolis are duly elected accord-
ing to Law.
He also reports that the Sheriffs of Kent, Somerset and
Prince George's Counties have not returned their Writs of
Election according to the Direction of those Writs
Resolved the House will to Morrow Morning consider of
the said Report relating to the Sheriffs' not returning the
Writs of Election
The House adjourned till to-Morrow Morning Nine O'Clock
