We are so sensible of the Abuses committed in the De-
struction of men's Estates which this Bill designs to remedy
That we cannot in Conscience and Duty to ourselves and
those we represent consent to the referring it till another
Session. And for an Instance among many others of this
great abuse About the Time of our coming here an Estate of
Arthur Young's appraised to the Exec" at near seven hundred
pounds Sterl A great part thereof to the Value of above four
hundred pounds has been executed and Sold for not above
Sixty pounds & fees And not long since two negros of John
Hutchins appraised at Sixty pds Sold for £30 Which is so
intollerable a Burthen that we cannot forbear mentioning to
your Honours in hope to incline you to consider this Bill at
this time and prevent such Evils by assenting to this Bill
Signed p Order R Dallam Cl H Del.
