Mr Whittington and Mr Solomon Wright bring up a Bill
for investing Margaret Hollingsworth and Katherine Wells in
an Estate devised them by Zorobabel Wells Read in their
House the first and second Times and Endorsed will pass
The said Bill being read. at the Board was likewise En-

dorsed — Read at the Board the first and Second times and
will pass and then sent down to the House by Col Greenfield
Mr James Lloyd and three other Delegates brought up from
their House four Engrossed Bills Viz.
A Bill against Striking Several Sorts of Fish within the
Precincts of this Province
A Bill for the naturalization of Peter Overard of the City of
Annapolis Sadler Daniel Packett Joseph Christmand and
Ambrose Nelson
A Bill for killing of Squirrels
A Bill for reviving an Act Entituled an Act ascertaining
the Height of Fences to prevent the Evil occasioned by the
multitude of Horses and restraining Horse Rangers within
this Province
Which being read were assented to by her Majestys honble
Council and carryed down to the House by Col Addison and
Col Tilghman

The message from the House relating to the Assembly and
Naval Office being considered resolved the following Answer
be sent thereto

By the Council in Assembly
November the 10th 1712

In answer to your Message by Capt Jones & Mr Ennalls of
the 6th Instant relating to the Naval Office and Papers therein
desired to be lodged in the Council Office We cannot be
assured that the same Person (tho now it is so) will always
hold both Offices so that it may be unfitt the Naval Officer
should have recourse to the Council Office But are rather
induced that the Office appointed for the Town Court be
alotted to the Clerk of your House and that the Assembly

Office should be to the Town Clerk of the City of Annapolis
in lieu thereof and desire you will send a member or two from
your House with the Gentlemen from our Board to View the
said Offices
