The Address to her Majesty about New York sent to the
House with the following Message by Mr Tench & Mr Coursey

By his Excellency and Council in Assembly
September the 27th 1704.
His Excy the Governour and Council have already addressed
her Majesty on this occasion therefore unless the House will
shew their nearer Concern by raising and Lodging Mony in
England to be made use of for negotiating this Matter more
Effectually neither his Excy nor this Board will Joyne in the
present Address proposed

The bill providing what shall be good Evidence to prove
foreign Debts was read and the Board do insist on the last
Clause being better Explained
The Bill for appeals and Writts of Error read and Endorsed
unless the House will agree to the Bill as proposed it will be
referred to the next Sessions of Assembly
The said two Bills sent to the House by Mr Coursey
Came Mr Henry Coursey from the House desiring to know
of the Board what they mean by Explaining the last Clause in
the Bill providing what shall be good Evidence to prove
foreign Debts &c And is told that this Board would not have
any thing but mony allowed in Discount
Came Major Lowe and brought up a bill to prevent the
Growth of Popery which was read in Council the first and
second time well approved of passed for Engrossing and sent
to the House by Col lenkins and Mr Cheseldyne.
Came Mr Hodson and two other Members with the bill for
Appeals and Writts of Error desiring it might pass as drawn
being thought really beneficial to the Province and to Induce
the Board there to alledge that the Defendt will not be wholly
remediless but may have his Injunction in Chancery
The Bill is agreed to and sent to the House by Mr Sanders
The Board adjourns till the Afternoon
