worded but in regard we perceive it is their Resolve that the
Bill may pass in a Petitionary manner we are Content that it
be so and therefore Propose that it run thus
For the better regulating Ordinaries &c. for the future and
in pursuance of her Majesties royal Instructions for raising
further Supplys for defraying the publick Charge of this
Province to effect which the Burgesses and Delegates of
this General Assembly do humbly Pray that her Majesty will
be graciously pleased to grant that it may be Enacted &c.

Which is agreed by this Board

Capt Watts & Mr Leech bring up the following Bills. Viz
A Bill for the more Speedy Conveying of publick Letters
& Packetts and for defraying the Charge thereof
A Bill directing the manner of summoning and electing
Delegates to serve in succeeding Assemblys
A Bill Confirming purchases made by the Commissioners
of the Countys Courts for the uses of the Countys &c.
A Bill restraining the Extortions of Sheriffs Subsherr. and
Deputy Commissarys
A Bill for Amerciaments in the Provincial and County
Courts
A Bill for securing Persons' rights to Town Lands
A Bill confirming Titles of Land to Churches
A Bill for stay of Execution after the tenth of May yearly.
A Bill ascertaining the Bounds of a Certain Tract of Land
to the use of the Nanticoke Indians
A Bill ascertaining Damages on protested Bills of Exchange
A Bill impowering Commissioners of the County Courts to
levy and raise tobacco to defray the necessary charges of
their County's and Parishes
Col Edward Dorsey and Capt Beale from the house to see
Matthias Vanderheyden prove his Naval officers acct who
accordingly makes Oath thereunto
And the same Time William Bladen Naval officer of the
Port of Annapolis makes oath to the accounts of his Collection
Mr Young Mr Aisquith and Mr Ennals from the House to
see Col Dent sworn to his Naval officers accounts
The Council adjourns to the afternoon

Past Meridiem the Council Sate Present as in the morning

Mr Howe brings from the house the following Bills
A Bill for the naturalization of Otho Othoson
A Bill laying an imposition on Several Commodities Ex-
ported
