Majesty in Council in relation to the division of the Fees of
that office between the said Lord Baltimore and S^r Tho^s
Lawrence Secretary of Maryland do report as follows.
That it is Conceived proper that an Act or Ordinance of
Assembly be drawn up passed and assented to by his Ex^cy the
Governour Council and Assembly that whatever Warrants for
the future be Granted by his Ldships officers and assigned
Either the whole or any part thereof to any Person that on
the Return of the Certificate It shall and may be Lawful for
him or them to demand a Grant thereof notwithstanding the
Purchase mony be unpaid by the first taker up of the Warrant
and that notice be given thereof to his Ldships Agents
That forasmuch as att present the Records of the Land
office are much torn damnified and some part lost and that
the offices for granting of Lands are now in two Several Per-
sons Hands which were heretofore Entire and that by their
being so divided occasions his Lordship the Lord Baltimore to
double the Purchase of his warrants which we humbly Con-
ceive a great Aggrieveance and pray her Majesty may be
addressed for Remedy thereof
