Andrew Welpley Carpenter being called into the House to
treat and agree with him to bring the Powder House into the
Town of Annapolis; he appeared and it was proposed to him
whether he would undertake the Work and to remove the
House & place it where his Excellency shall please to appoint
and to run all Risque and Hazard and settle the same House
in such Place in as good condition as it now stands for £ 15
Sterling which he agreed to and obliged himself to have it
done by the Middle of July next to all which this House like-
wise agreed.

Francis Jenkins Esqr enters the House and delivers Mr
Speaker Bill for declaring 2 several Acts of Parliament to be
in force. Indorsed April 17ta 1706 By the Council in Assem-
bly read and will pass with the Amendments.

Bill for suspending the Prosecution of Popish Priests. In-
dorsed Eodem Die Read in Council and will pass with
Amendmt Signed p Order W Bladen Cl. Council.

Read in the House with Amendments and do pass with
Amendment
Bill for encouraging the making Hemp and Flax &ta In-
dorsed April 17th 1706 By the Council in Assembly. This
Bill with the Amendment proposed, and being made Tempo-
rary for and during the Term of 3 years and to the End of the
first Session of Assembly next ensuing and will pass.
