Answer and Plat delivered them.
Upon Motion by Colo Holland for Council to be admitted
to argue the Petition & Answer before the Committee which
is allowed by the House to both Parties if they think fit.
Petition of Nicholas Lowe praying Liberty to bring in a
Bill &ci for Sale of Lots of Land of Mr ———— for Payment
of a Debt read and debated, and by the House rejected.
The Message p Colo Jenkins of the 12th of April last rela-
ting to Presentment of Bigamy &ca
Read and resolved by the House that the Consideration
thereof be further referred.
Appeared Capt. George Harris and Mrs Deborah Ridgely
pursuant to former Order of this House and being called in
were heard by the House and then ordered to withdraw
and upon rehearing the Petition of the said Harris, it is
resolved the same be rejected.
A Bill declaring the Act for erecting Ann Arundel and Ox-
ford Towns, Read the first Time and by especial Order do pass.
Bill declaring the Land Law to be in force &ca
Read the first Time and by especial Order do pass. Bill
for Currency of Coin, read the first & second Time & do pass
Bill to make null and void a Deed from Thomas Edmondson
to William Edmondson.
Read the first Time and by especial Order do pass.
Bill for suspending the Prosecution of Roman Catholicks
within this Province &ca
Read the first and second Time and do pass.
The foregoing Bills sent up to the Council by Mr Thomas
Frisby and Mr Wm Aisquith for their Honour's Concurrence.
They return and say they delivered the Bills.
The Gentlemen appointed to view the Work of the Stadt
House enter the House and make their Report Which being
read was ordered to be entered and Copy delivd Mr William
Bladen By the Persons for viewing the work about the Stadt
House April 12th 1706.

1st We report That the Window Frames in the Lower and
Second Stories (accept two) are altogether insufficient and
ought to be taken out and new ones made of good season'd
Timber put in their Rooms.
2. That the Shingling is not done in a workmanlike man-
ner being already leaky and in a little will be a means to

destroy both the Timber and Plaintering so well as the whole

Fabrick.
3. That the Brick Work over both Porch Doors ought to
be taken down and amended and that all the old Plaistering
throughout the whole House ought to be pulled down
