Which being read in the House and fully debated the Peti-
tion is rejected.
And upon rehearing the Petition of Samuel Dorsey it
appeared by a former Contract that the same Rent is the
Right of the said Samuel Dorsey. Therefore resolved That
he be paid the Rent of the House for the year last past by
the Treasurer of the Western Shore being £20.
Mr Ennalls & Mr Beale enter the House and say they
delivered their Message of the Morning.
Colo Thomas Smithson's Letter & Message thereupon sent
up to Honble Council p Mr John Jones and Mr Joseph Gray
They return and say they delivered their Message.
The Petition of Mr W. Bladen relating to a Town Lot read
& referred till to Morrow Morning for Consideration and
ordered that the Clerk procure the foul Draught of the
Town Plat for the Inspection of the House.
The Petition of William Sweatnam being brought into the
House.
Ordered the Petitioner and Mr Bennett be called in ; whc
appearing and the Matter contained therein being read and

argued before the House they withdrew and the same was by
the House debated and it's rejected for Incertainty of the
Prayer of the Petitioner.
Petition of Colo William Holland praying the Explanatior
of the Variation of Courses in a Survey of Land. Consid-
eration further referred
Petition of Capt Richard Smith read, praying the Explana-
tion of a certain Clause in the Land Law &ca and to be
relieved in the Premises.
Colo Holland and Capt Smith being called into the House
and both their Petitions read and the House having heard
what they had to say Colo Holland prayed Leave for a Copy
to make his Defence and is ordered to withdraw
And then the House resolve on Saturday Morning next to
take the same into further Consideration and that Colo Hol-
land and Capt. Smith be ordered then to attend the House.
Bill to invest John Whittington in certain Tracts of Lane
of Daniel Toa's for & towards Satisfaction of Debt due fron
the said Toas Indorsed Viz.
