They return and say they delivered the Message.
The first Part of the Message this Day relating to the add-
ing the Lot of the Vestry to the Lot laid out for a Minister.
Read and put to the Question whether it shall be annexed to
the Lot or not? Carried by Majority of Votes that the Lot
of the Vestry be annexed to the Ministers Lot. And as to the
latter Part of the Message relating to Provision for Reception
of a Minister this House are unwilling to contribute &ca

The House met again and being called over were all present
as yesterday.
Read what was done Yesterday. Message relating to Pro-
posals for Money &ca referred till to Morrow Morning for
Consideration.
The Gentlemen appointed to inspect the Land Records
enter the House & deliver their Report to Mr Speaker.
Ordered to be read and upon Reading thereof it was debated
and referred for further Consideration till the Afternoon
Committee of Aggrievances enter the House and report as
follows Viz.
Whereas divers Persons had Money allowed them by the
Public for their several Services and Orders have been drawn
therefor on the publick Treasurer who denies the Payment
any otherways than by Pieces of Eight at six shillings a Piece
(under Pretence of having no other Coin) which they cannot
pass away at that Rate ; it is represented as a great Aggriev-
ance and prayed the same may be settled by an Act ascertain-
ing at what Rates the several Sorts of Coin of late Current in
this Province may pass for the future for the Ease & Advan-
tage of the whole Province. Being read and debated this
House resolves it is a Grievance and that a Bill be prepared
and brought in to remedy the same by ascertaining the Value
of such Coin.
The Honble John Hammond and Francis Jenkins from the
Council enters the House and delivers Bill for several Counties
indorsed. By the Council in Assembly April 9th 1706.
