And sent up to the Honble Council by Mr Peter Watts and
Mr Francis Dallahyde.
They return and say they delivered their Message.
The Petition of John Whittington of Kent County praying
Sale of Part of Daniel Toa's Land for Payment of his Debts
&ca Read in the House & ordered that Notice be given the
Petr to attend the House to Morrow Morning with a Copy of
Toa's Will and this House will then further consider of the
same.
Bill for Naturalization of John Baptist Tyler brought into
the House by Thos Ennalls and William Coursey Esqrs in-
dorsed. Eodem Die. Read in Council and will pass.

The House adjourns till to Morrow Morning Eight O'Clock.

Tuesday April 9th 1706.

The House met according to Adjournment. Being called
over were present as yesterday. Read what was done yes-
terday.

The Honble James Saunders Esqr from the Council enters
the House and delivers Mr Speaker the following Message
which was ordered to be read & entered Viz.

By his Ex'cy the Governor and Council April 8th 1706

Gent. At present the Conveyance of publick Letters is
very unsafe as well as your proper Interests much impaired. I
wish you would seriously consider how this may be remedied.
His Ex'cy the Governor of Virginia having communicated his
Resolution of using his Endeavours with the Assembly of
that Colony intended to sit this Month to redress the Evil
there. Signed p Order W Bladen Cl. Council

Upon reading the aforegoing Message it is referred to
further Consideration till such Time Townes are settled.

The Petition of John Whittington praying the Sale of
Lands of Daniel Toas dec'd for paying of a Debt to him due
Read, and the Petr ordered to be called into the House; who
appearing is ordered to give Account of what Lands there is
of the said Toa's undisposed of. He informs the House there
is several Tracts not yet disposed of Viz. one called Honest
Dealing containing 400 Acres, Fair Dealing containing 300
Acres and an Addition to Fair Dealing 130 Acres And so
