print all publick Matters as Speeches, Answers, Votes & Proc-
lamations &c. as your Honours please to direct.
And further whereas there hath been a former Ordinance
of this House to Mr W. Bladen and others that had printing
Presses in the Province obliging all Clerks, Commissarys,
Sheriffs, and other Officers to make use of printed Blanks may
be renewed and settled on your Petitioner
And that there is a small House upon Wapping Wharf
built by the Public, but at present of no use, therefore prays
that the same be granted him that you recommend the same
to his Excy and Council for Concurrence
And your Petitioner as in Duty bound shall pray &ca
Which being read it is proposed what Encouragement
might be sufficient to give him for his expeditious Printing
the Body of the Laws of this Province.
It is resolved That for his Encouragement he shall be allowed
for each County one and one for this House at the Rate of
twenty Shillings for each Body for which each County is to
make Satisfaction and the Country but is obliged not to exceed
twelve Shillings for the Price of one Body that may be disposed
of by him to any pson. And that for what other Acts shall
be passed in any future Assemblys to be allowed for the same
in Proportion to the present Body of the Laws. Thomas
Reading being present in the House readily agreed to the
Proposal
As to that Paragraph relating to the Country House being
read it's proposed to the Petr whether or not he will rent the
said House at the Rate of twelve Pence p Annum to be paid
to the Treasurer of the Western Shore Annually on Lady
Day ; putting it in Repair during the Time of four years to
commence from the 25th Day of March last past to the which
he readily consented and agreed. Thereupon resolved he
hold the same for the Term afsd on Consideration afsd.
It is further proposed to the said Thomas Reading what he
will require for a Body of Laws to be copyed for the Press.
He offers to make the same for two thousand Pounds of
Tobacco ; and this House agrees thereto, and will consider of,
and appoint some pson to examine & correct the same.

The Petition of Mary Newell, of Annapolis, praying Liberty
for selling a Dram, read and rejected.
Edward Lloyd, and Thomas Ennalls Esqr from the Honble
Council enters the House and delivers Mr Speaker Proposals
for runing Cash of four thousand Pounds Sterling which was
read and referred for further Consideration
Bill for Naturalization of John Baptist Tyler of Prince
George's County brought into the House Read the first and
second Time and do pass
