As to the Building of a House we are utterly incapable to
perform the same and therefore 'tis fruitless to Attempt it
Your Excy knows that out of the twelve pence p H:hd to
her Majesty for Support of Government she is graciously
pleased to allow three pence p Hhd for supplying the Coun-
try with Arms and Ammunition and preserving the Same
And we are informed that out of the same the Province is
plentifully supplyed and that there is about one thousand
pounds in Bank and the Stock increasing We humbly move
it to your Excy if it may not be proper to address her Majesty
to apply such part thereof as may be Spared from that use to
the Building a House and whether your Excy and Council will
please to Join with us in such Address
And tho we are not able to build such House as proposed
yet since her Majesty has been pleased to permitt your Excy
to accept and us to give Something in lieu of House Rent
We will Examine our Ability and hope we shall be able to
make some suitable Acknowledgments to the tender Regards
you have shewn for us
We have Considered of the Several Articles and Proposals
laid before us and so soon as the Clerk can draw them of the
Journal your Excy shall know the opinion of the House thereon
