Aprill the i7th, 1706.
The Journall of the Comittee of Accounts being read it is
observ'd that there is 3000 Ib tobo allowed to Mr Charles Kil-
burne for three years Sallary as publiq Gunner
Whereas his Exncy & this board have already allow'd him
[twenty] five pounds in full Satisfaction thereof & paid the same
out of the Duty of three pence p hhd. given by her Majesty for
Arms &c how this Allowance comes to be now made (Your
house having formerly Resolved that he should not be paid out
of the Publiq Stock of this Province) seems strange therefore
We Desire better Satisfaction therein

Mr Maclaster & Mr Grey bring up a bill Declaring two sev-
erall Acts of Parliament to be in force
A Bill Incouraging the Making hemp & Flax &c.
A Bill Suspending the prosecution of Popish Priests
Which were read & Endorsed to pass with the Amendments
& were sent to the House by Col Jenkins
The Bill ascertaining the Damage on ptested bills of Ex-
change brought by Mr Mclaster & Mr Grey is ordered to lye
on the Board

Wm Bladen on behalf of Coll Nathal Blakiston Agent for
this Province humbly represents that there is due to the said
Coll Blakiston from the publiq of this Province for Sallary for
his Agency at the rate of 120 £ Sterl p annum 120 lb for the
year ended the 17th of September 1705 for which the sd W
Bladen Attorny in fact for the said Col Blakiston prays an
order of this house. And also that the house before they rise
