sions. But as to the giving his Excellency the Trouble to

issue Orders to the Treasurers this House are of Opinion

that that Part of the Message is put too General & is alto-
gether needless and they will not intend that your Honours
in your wisdoms will insist thereon

Which being read was approved of by the House & ordered
Mr Thomas Frisby Mr John Jones & Mr Joseph Gray carry
the same up to their Honours.
They return & say they delivered the same.
The following Message being prepared in Answer to the
Report of the Conferees being read was ordered to be en-
tered as followeth Viz.

By the House of Delegates 23 May 1705

Upon reading the Report of the Conference yesterday the
House proceeded to debate the same. As to Celey this House
are of Opinion that the said Celey being now in the Mercy of
the Queen there is no need of an Act of Assembly to trans-
port him but leave him entirely to the Disposition of his
Excellency the Governor to do with him as he thinks fit.
2. As to the Magazine Stores to be distributed according
to the former Proposal and what remains to be left at his
Excellency's Disposal without the Charge of a Guard to
which this House readily concurred.
3. As to the Proposal concerning the Rangers this House
are willing to keep still out and Resolves that six men and an
Officer be appointed for Prince George's & six men & an
Officer for Baltimore County Rangers
And this House humbly proposes to his Ex'cy the Governor

House & delivers Mr Speaker the following Message.

By the Council in Assembly Die Mercurij 23,o Die May 1705

Whereas Humphry Herman is a principal Evidence against
Mrs Rachel Freeborn now committed for aiding & abetting her
Son Richard Clarke in his traiterous Practices and assisting
Benjamin Celey to break the Prison we have thought it proper
