Die Mercurij May 23d 1705

The House met again accordg to Adjournmt. Being called
over all present as yesterday. Then was read what was done
yesterday
Bill declaring the Act for punishing Persons Suborning
Witnesses &ta read & assented to by the House of Delegates
W. Taylard Cl. Ho. Del.

Bill for reviving the Act ascertaining the Bounds of Land
&ta Read and assented to by the House of Delegates.
Bill for Relief of Ann Arundel County read and assented
to by the House of Delegates
Bill for confirming William Joseph's Letter of Attorney,
read & assented to by the House of Delegates
Bill for Punishment of Persons selling Friend Indians &ta
read and assented to by the House of Delegates
Bill for Utlary of Richard Clarke, Read and assented to by
the House of Delegates
Bill declaring the Act for erecting Ann Arundell & Oxford
Towns to be in force.
Read and assented to by the House of Delegates
Bill for Naturalization of Xtopher Dangerman, Read and
assented to by the House of Delegates.
Which ingrossed Bills were sent up to the Council by Mr
Wm Aisquith.
He returns and says he delivered the Bills

The Gentlemen of the Conference enter the House and
deliver their Report in Writing Viz.
The Report of the Conferees with the Honble Council
relating to the Message to this House of the 22d Instant about
the Prisoners in Goal the present Guard on the publick
Magazine and Prison & the Rangers on the Frontier
1. Proposed That whereas Benjamin Celey stands now
convicted and has Judgment to die that to save his Life a
Bill may be brought in to transport him to the West Indies
to be sold there for seven years and the Produce to be applied
to save the publick Charge.
2. Proposed That whereas Humphry Herman who is now
in Prison and has voluntarily confest that he by the Direction
& Instigation of his Mistress, Rachel Freeborn, conveyed a
File to the Prisoners then in Prison who was enabled to make
their Escape that a Bill may be brought in to convict him of
this and to transport him Considering that it will be a great
Charge to the Province to keep him in Prison till he be tryed
and convicted according to the common Methods
