desired some Time to advise with Council in the Matter
which was granted by the House and ordered he appear again
to Morrow Morning.
Eight Bills deliv'ed Mr Charles Greenberry to be ingrossed
The House adjourns till two O'Clock Afternoon.

Being called over were present as in the morning
The Honble John Hammond Esqr from the Council enters
the House & acquaints Mr Speaker that the Gentlemen of the
Conferrence ordered this Day is now at the House of Mr
Benjamin Fordham and desire that the Gentlemen of this
House will attend them immediately.

Ordered That Mr Robert Goldsborough, Mr John Contee,
Colo Edward Dorsey, Mr Nicholas Lowe, Colo James Small-
wood and Mr Robert Tyler attend the Conferrence ordered in
the morning The Petition of Cadwaller Edwards Joyner
praying Allowance for building the publick Pews being
indorsed Viz. Die Martis 22o May 1705 The Petition
being read at this Board his Excellency is pleased to say that
he did order the Petr to erect the said Pews for the Accomo-
dations of the Gentlemen of the House of Delegates and
doubt not but they will do the Petitioner Justice.

By the House of Delegates May 22d 1705
The within Petition of Cadwaller Edwards Joyner was here
read and this House took the same into Consideration upon
which Inspection being made into the public Accounts do
find that he has been allowed ten Pounds Sterling for building
the Pews which this House conceive to be a sufficient Satis-
faction for the Work and therefore this House do resolve he
have no further Allowance Signed p Order

The Gentlemen appointed to attend the Conference enter
the House & made Verbal Report thereof to the House.
