By the House of Delegates May the 19th 1 705

Resolves of the House humbly offered his Excellency as
follows
Whereas it appears to this House that there has been a
treasonable Combination between Richard Clark of Ann
Arundel County and divers others evil Persons to draw
down the India upon the Inhabitants of this Province & to
levy war agt her Majesty's Governor & Government ; it's
Resolved therefore by the House That her Majesty's Attor-
ney General do forthwith prosecute the said Clarke & all
other his Accomplices for the said Crimes to the utmost
Extent of the Law And the said Attorney is directed to do
the same accordingly. Resolved That this House will enter
into Examination of what Magazine Stores has been provided
and set apart for the publick Use & Defence of this Province
during the Time that Colo Blackiston was Governor ; how &
what is become of it &ta
Resolved That this House will upon all Occasions heartily
join in Concert with the Honble her Majesty's Council to
support her Majesty's Government here and the Honour &
Reputation of his Excellency the present Governor
Resolved That the Paper directed to the Protestants of
Maryland and which is now laid before this House is a scan-
dalous and seditious Libel and that Atty Genl do prosecute
the Writer, Contriver & Publisher thereof & every of them.
And the said Atty is ordr by this House to prosecute the same
to the utmost Extent of the Law accordingly

Which being read was approved of and ordered Major
Thomas Taylor, Mr Joseph Grey, Mr Joseph Ennalls & Mr
John Macclaster carry the same up to his Excellency and
Council
They return and say they delivered the same.
Likewise ordered the following Message be prepared Viz.

We return you our hearty Thanks for communicating in us
Mr Perry's Letter relating the State of New York Affairs as
to this Province and which is very agreeable to us Sir, this has
given us new Assurance of your Care & Watchfulness to
improve every Thing that may tend to our Advantage and
we are sensible of this great Blessing which we humbly pray
