486 Assembly Proceedings^ May 15-25, 1705.

Lib. 41.

Upon reading the Articles of Peace this House ordered the
following Message to be prepared & sent up to the Council Viz.

By the House of Delegates May the 19th 1705.

May it please your Excellency,
This House does very well approve of the several Articles
made with the Indians & sent to this House & they have not
to add to the same
Signed p Order WT. Taylard Cl. Ho. Del.

Sent up to his Excy & Council by Mr John Wells & Mr
James Philips
They return & say they delivered their Message
Bill for Naturalization of Christ. Dangerman of Calvert
County Read p Order of the House the first & second Time
& do pass.
The Gentlemen appointed to inspect & view some Carpen-
ters Work began upon rebuilding the Stadt House enters the
House and reports as follows Viz.

May the 19th 1705
We appointed as abovesaid do report that the Frame of the

Stadt House what is done appears to be done in workman
like manner and that the Door Cases are tolerable but a
Defect in the Brick work over the Front Porch Doors but that
the Window Frames are so bad & green Timber some with
the Bark on & most sham wedged & not one squared and
will when shrunk drop to pieces & consequently not fit for
that House is the Report of Edward Dorsey, John Leach,
Edward Blay, John Waters & John Jones.
Which Report being read it's ordered that Mr William
Bladen the Undertaker appear before the House on Monday
Morning next.

The House adjourned till two o' Clock in the Afternoon

Post Meridiem

The House met again according to Adjournment, & all
present as in the Morning
Bill for Naturalization of Christ. Dangerman sent up to the
Council p Mr James Hay and Mr John Jones for Concurrence.
They return and say they delivered the Bill.
The following Message being prepared ordered to be
