May it please your Exncy
Wee the Members of her Matys hon:ble Councill being
throughly Sensible of your Exncys most hon:ble & dutiful
Regard to her Matys Interest and your indefatigable Care for
the Safety and welfare of us & other her Matys Subjects of
this Province upon the many repeated Disturbances of Our
peace as well by the Indians as other Ill disposed persons
and particularly of the many Great Difficultys yr Exncys
unwearied Diligence with so much prudence has lately gone
through without Obliging us in so unseasonable and hard a
Winter to give Our attendance Wee do Return Your Exncy our
Most Greatefull Acknowledgments for such your Care of and
kind Regard to us and shall ever gladly Approve ourSelves

Mr Frisby and Mr John Macall bring from the house the
Petition of Mr Thomas Collier praying to be Relieved against
a protested Bill of Exchange he tooke by Virtue of his Office
of Mr William Edmundson who was Owner of the Shipp and
Cargoe upon which the Dutys arose and then a Merchant in
good Credit with the Houses Endorsement on sa Petition
Resolving Nemine Contradicente that the said Collier be
Released from the said Debt and whereas Col Thomas Smith-
son publiq Treasurer of the Eastern Shore has upon the said
Endorsement Recovered Judgemt agt the said Collier, the sd
Collier is only to pay Col Smithson the Costt of Suit of which
the said publiq Treasurer is to Take due Notice and further
