of Late Years by being disturbed & Expulsed from their
several Settlements in Towns vizts first from Buckingham in
this County to Assawamem & from thence to the Indian
River and from thence to the head of the said River where
we now are settled in a Town but are Continually Threaten'd
to be Driven from thence likewise although we your Exncys
humble Petitioners have not in the Least Misbehaved our
Selves towards her Matys Liege people and where then to go
we know not unless to the Barrens in the Forest which will
not afford us a living — wherefore your Exncys humble peti-
tioners (absolute necessity urging thereto) Implore your
Exncy to Confirm them their now Settled Town with 1000
Acres of Land thereto next adjoyning which is but a small
Quantity in Respect to what was formerly by us Enjoyed and
grant us a patent for the same wee have already what Rights
the Propry and Governour of Pensilvania can give and
Surveyed it unto us) and we hope and doubt not but your
Exncy will be so favorable as to Grant the humble Request of
yor poor Petitioners and your Petitioners as in duty bound
shall be peaceable Friends & ever pray &c. Upon the read-
ing whereof it is sent to the house with this Endorsement.
By his Exncy the Governour & Council in Assembly. The
within Petition of Robin Indian and other Indians being Read
his Exrcy and the Members of this Board are willing to Com-
ply with their desires & Recomend to the house of delegates
that they will Consider thereof and by some Act of Assembly
or other means Secure them in the Quiet and peaceable
possession of the one thousand Acres of Land according to
their petition. Signed p order W Bladen Cl. Councill.

Whereas there is a good Law made Restraining the English
Inhabitants of this Province from Carrying any Liquors to
Indian Towns & Cabbins, Notwithstanding which several
English do either by themselves or otherwise by the Indians
for and on their Accounts Carry and send Liquors to the said
Indian Towns and Cabbins to the great Disturbance & Annoy-
ance of the said Indians I do hereby Require all her Matys Sub-
jects Exactly to Comply with the said Law & forbear either by
themselves or others to Carry or send any Liquors to the said
Indian Towns & Cabbins And that the Several Magistrates of
the Several and Respective Countys use their utmost Dilei-
gence in detecting prosecuting and punishing the Offenders
herein, and further I do hereby Empower the Great men at
the Indian Towns upon such Liquors being Brought thither to
break & Stave the Bottles Casqs and Barrells or oversett and
Spill such other Vessells wherein such Liquors shall be without
being Troubled to Answer any Complaint on that Score
