Read what was done yesterday
Colo Holland & William Coursey Esq. enters the House &
delivers the Bill declaring the Act ascertaining the Bounds of
Land in Force indorsed

Eodom Die Read in Council & past
W Bladen Cl. Council.

Bill for rebuilding the Stadt House indorsed in Council
and the Bill for causing Grand & Petit Jurors & witnesses to
come to Courts indorsed.

Decem. 8th 1704.

Assented to by his Majesty's Hofible Council.
W Bladen Cl. Council.

Ordered the following Message be entered as follows.

By the House of Delegates December 9th 1 704.

In Answer to the Message as to the Act prohibiting the
Importation of Bread Flour &cta this House are of Opinion
that the Legislative Power of this Province has sufficient
Power to prohibit Trade in such a Branch of it as that Act
mentions but they are ready to concur with your Honours
Sentiments that 'tis better to lay a Duty on the enumerated
Commodities &ta but Time will not admit to bring in a new
Bill therefore pray the Consideration thereof may be referred
to the next Session of Assembly

Colo Hammond enters the House & delivers Mr Speaker a
Bill relating to the Roman Catholicks with the Bill before
proposed Ordered it be considered of.
The following Message was read & ordered to be en-
tered Viz.

By the House of Delegates December 9th 1 704.

This House hath received all the Papers relating to the
Indians and the Message sent therewith by John Hammond
& William Coursey Esqrs and we have heard all the Informa-
tion that Colo Smallwood & Colo Beale have given us from
all which we can with no reasonable Certainty either blame
or excuse our Neighbouring Indians the Piscattaways but
