This house hath Received all the papers relating to the
Indns by the honble John Hamond & Wm Coursey Esqr. Wee
have heard all the Informacon that Coll Smallwood & Beale
have given from all Which wee cann with no Reasonable
Certainty Either Blame or Excuse our Neighbouring Indians
the Piscattaways but forasmuch as notwithstanding both our
peaceable Carriage towards them and our threatnings have
not prevailed upon them to Returne to their Antient dwellings
this house hath a good disposicon to make Warr upon them
were it not that we have allready undertaken some business of
great Charge therefore Wee humbly advise your Excellency
to call in the Soldiers & to treat with the said Indians at present
in friendly manner and to dissemble the resentmts of the English
till they be better Capacitated to carry on a Warr and have
more Certainty of their Treachery & Guiltiness
